SUV Backcountry Tours
For those who would like the comfort and luxury of a full sized SUV we offer rugged backcountry tours with our fleet of Toyota Sequioa's. We can take clients to the same locales as our jeeps go but without the exposure to the elements. There are still plenty of opportunities to get out and explore, but the SUV's are ideal on cold, rainy, windy, or hot days, or for the client who simply wants a climate controlled experience.
We also offer the following tour exclusively in our SUV:
California's Little Grand Canyon - Combines all of the best elements of a classic desert backcountry tour, narrow washes, magnificent ridgelines, technical off roading, colorful canyons, palm oases, slot canyons, historic mining and cattle trails, and even a drive through our agricultural fields. No other operator offers this tour. It is our premium backcountry tour with more variety, more remote desert scenery, and three times the off roading as
any other tour. Optional nature walks into slot canyons and palm oases as well.

The Painted Fault Tour - Come see where earthquakes are born! You will see first hand what geologists have called " the most tortured landscape on earth" as you visit the backcountry trails of a Burea of Land Management Wilderness zone. Clients will also get an up close look at the Coachella Valley's $500 million agriculture industry on the drive to and from the backcountry. Sheer canyon walls, fascinating geology, and abundant native desert plant and animal life are highlights of this tour. This is the most colorful portion of the San Andreas Fault in all of California. The spectrum of layers and colors will dazzle you.

Joshua Tree National Park Adventure - This jeep tour takes you to one of the nation's most outstanding wilderness treasures, Joshua Tree National Park. We use a rugged backcountry trail through the Little San Bernadino Mountains to take you from the Colorado Desert to over 4000 feet elevation in the Mojave Desert. Clients will be treated to magnifecent unspoiled desert vistas, spectacular rock formations, unique plant and animal life, and outstanding geology.
